CareFirst – Cyber attack
CareFirst has confirmed that they have been the subject of a
cyber attack. The information that was
compromised was limited (not social security numbers, medical info,
etc.). People may be more vulnerable to phishing attempts which may be
more plausible.
CareFirst is offering two years of free credit monitoring
and identity theft protection services for those members affected. If people
have been affected, they will receive letters from CareFirst. There is additional information in the link
